Patrick Mahody has been hired as the new Principal Broker and Sales Manager for Yarrow, a new master-planned community being developed in Madras. In this position, Mahody will be responsible for managing, training and providing leadership for staff, pricing homesites, working with builders and realtors, and overseeing all real estate transactions. He will use his extensive real estate development experience and skills in new project start-up in his new position.
"Pat brings a wealth of real estate sales experience to Yarrow," said Kirk Schueler, president of Brooks Resources Corporation, part of the triad of companies that makes up Yarrow's developer, Madras Land Development Company. "His experience will be critical to the establishment of a sales organization that will represent Yarrow and the partners for a long time to come."
Before filling this brand new position with Yarrow, Mahody worked in the real estate and resort sales fields. For the last 18 years, he has worked as a manager in the sales department at Eagle Crest Resort, another one of Yarrow's founding partners. In this position, he has worked with six key builder partners to develop neighborhoods and homesite sales within Eagle Crest.
"The partnership between three companies with such great reputations like Brooks Resources, Eagle Crest and Taylor Northwest was a big draw for me," said Mahody. "It is exciting to be a part of the first ever master-planned community in Madras and be able to come in on the ground level of planning and developing Yarrow's beautiful piece of land."
A long-time Oregonian, Mahody and his wife raised two sons in Eugene before traveling around the country with Central Oregon in the back of their minds. Now a resident of Central Oregon for nearly twenty years, Mahody has an intimate knowledge of the area that will lend itself well to his new position at Yarrow.
The new community of Yarrow, situated on 900 acres on the east side of Madras, will be a vibrant collection of neighborhoods incorporating neotraditional design principles. Madras Land Development Company, a joint venture of Brooks Resources Corporation, Eagle Crest and Taylor Northwest, is developing the property. Plans for the community include a variety of housing sizes and types, mixed-use area with retail amenities, pedestrian friendly streets and walkways, and a public golf course. At completion, the project will have approximately 1500-1700 single-family homes, and 100-200 multi-family units. To find out more, call 541-475-7966 or visit the Yarrow real estate website.
